SALVATORE FERRAGAMO BAGS & SHOES

Hi, my little fashionistas, did you miss me? I have gone on a voyage for you: I traveled all the way from Michigan to Toronto and back again, on a wild, crazy search for some new, stylish Ferragamo handbags  to review for you. That’s how much I love you guys — plus, you know, I frigging love Toronto and secretly I went mostly for selfish, personal purposes. I did, however, chance to stay in the most luxurious hotel possible and spent endless amounts of time lounging in the lobby, watching all the glamorous travelers checking in and out, and I found lots of fodder for all you little Ferragamo aficionados.

This bag, that’s what.  Sleek, sophisticated, comprised of clean lines and sharp angles, it is just what every hip, trendy young girl on the go needs, even if she doesn’t realize it quite yet.  This Ferragamo bag prices for about $3690.00, but there are retailers where you can get it for as low as $3390.00 — that’s a savings of over three hundred dollars.  I am a spoiled only child who is equally spoiled by her lovely fiance, and I have to confess that two hundred odd dollars is a perfectly acceptable limit for Christmas presents — be it several gifts or that one, perfect package.

All right,  This is another one of those Ferragamo handbags with which I need some help. This is the Ferragamo patent leather and calfskin tote handbag, and I absolutely cannot decide whether I like it or not.  I think I do?  But I really, really could be wrong.  I just can’t tell.  So tell me: is this fab or is it a huge, gelatinous pile of flub?

On the one hand, you absolutely cannot deny the fact that it is immaculately crafted.  The design is perfect, the stitching is flawless — I mean, this bag is beautifully put together.  The design itself is both intricate and interesting.  The way the pieces of leather are stitched together catches the eye and keeps it — but because there are so many shapes, the eye does not risk getting bored either.

On the other hand, this Prada purse is really … busy.  There are so many embellishments.  Tabs and stitches and straps  it’s just all so much!  I mean, yeah, it’s beautifully put together, but I just reconcile all of the separate pieces together.  They don’t really mesh well for me.  I don’t thing they transition very smoothly.

So help me out, guys.  What’s your verdict?  Is this bag a winner or a wiener?  Uh … sorry, I couldn’t think of any other alliterations.
